A yacht is lost with 4 crewmen aboard. What can Britain do? Send a RAF C130 Hercules transport aircraft with some men equipped with binoculars.

Why only with binoculars? Because the Tory government in it's great public school oxbridge wisdom scrapped all the Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft with their search radar and high resolution cameras.

Not to worry, the next time a ship or boat is lost the RAF will send out searchers equipped with bigger binoculars.

If it works for spotting hostile warships and submarines it must also work for finding capsized yachts.
